Engagement Shoot

It was easier than we thought. Making out, rolling in the grass, snuggling in front of well, basically a stranger. But, actually it was anything but uncomfortable. Kyle was great and it was me who kept on getting direction from our photog.
"I'm getting too much neck in this shot"
"Sarah, head up"
And so on...
Eventually we got it and the results simply amazed both my fiance and our family and friends.

Here's some tricks that I gathered before we went to take these shots! Enjoy!

Bring Balloons!
Utilize photog's knowledge. I never would have thought to use a garage door as a backdrop.
Smile.
Find something symbolic or important and use it. My grandmother made this blanket from her old clothes. We incorporated it into the field shot.
Bring your dog. It's his family, too.

Flail through a field during sunset. It's itchy, there are bugs everywhere, but it could be so worth it.
Totally stole this one from Pinterest. I gave our photog my iPhone pinterest app and had her recreate multiple pins.
Always be thinking ahead. Save the Dates, perhaps? Available on Etsy.com at Lanier Creations
Bring your parents. It was so special to have them there..such a great memory!
